At Wishing Well Simmentals, we strive to provide some of the most consistent and progressive Simmental genetics in the Midwest. What began in the 1980s with LuAnne’s passion for Simmental cattle, and continued through the 1990s with numerous 4-H project females, has developed into the successful program that it is today. Recently, our evolution has inspired us to achieve our family dream of expanding the herd of Simmental and Sim-Influenced females on a new property in Northeast Wisconsin.
We are excited to continue producing cattle that make us proud. We focus on sound, functional, maternally oriented cattle that will add quality, eye appeal and longevity to your herd. We firmly believe in strong cow families and the use of modern, yet proven, AI sires. And our embryo transfer partnership with Chase Farms in Minnesota helps us to increase our ability to offer excellent offspring from elite cow families.
While we certainly consider our cattle business more than a hobby, we each have outside-the-pasture jobs. LuAnne is an elementary school counselor in the Wisconsin school system. Chance operates a livestock marketing company that is based on the new farm. And Valerie is in her final year of vet school, with a target graduation date in May 2014.
We sincerely appreciate your interest in our cattle and our program. Each second weekend in October, we host the Picture Perfect Pasture Sale. We are also pleased to announce our first ever spring sale for 2014. Stay tuned for dates!
